3D Fantasy Art
You can create 3D fantasy art with a free program from DAZ called DAZ Studio. It has both Mac and Windows versions. To be honest, learning a 3D program will take some work. I am assuming that you have no experience with 3D or any other type of graphics program. DAZ Studio is easier than most but you will still have to put in some effort. However, once you are over the hump you can make 3D fantasy art just like that seen in my 3D galleries.
The cheapest, easiest way to find out if 3D is for you is to get DAZ Studio. It comes with a user's manual and 3 scenes with figures, clothing, hair and props. Unfortunately, there are no mermaids but there is more than enough to get you started. To begin, click on DAZ 3D fantasy art to go to the DAZ home page and then look for the "New to DAZ" link.
